About GentleWay Knots
We believe macramé is a conversation between hands, fiber, and time. Our courses are built for mindful practice, not rush.
Our story
GentleWay Knots began as a small weekend circle in a quiet studio. Learners came for the knots and stayed for the calm shared focus. We wrote, tested, and refined a sequence that lets anyone progress with clarity and joy.
Today our curriculum spans fundamentals to advanced sculptural pieces, always rooted in nature-first aesthetics and careful pacing.
- 2019 — First community workshops with five students and a single rope spool.
- 2021 — Launched our online studio with stepwise video lessons and practice prompts.
- 2024 — Introduced advanced sculptural macramé and sustainability guidance for materials.
- 2026 — Expanded mentorship and gentle critique sessions for complex wall pieces.
